Macheo Tours was born from a shared dream, a father and son’s desire to reveal the true, heartfelt side of South Africa to the world.
Founded in 2022 by Mickey and Christiaan Erasmus, this family-run company blends local expertise, love for nature, and deep South African pride.
Mickey is the embodiment of the true South African spirit, a farmer at heart, deeply connected to his land and his people. He believes everyone should experience South Africa at least once in their lifetime, to feel its warmth, understand its culture, and witness its natural beauty.
His son Christiaan, after more than a decade living in France, wanted to build a bridge between Europe and his homeland. Together, they created Macheo, not just a travel company, but an invitation to rediscover the meaning of exploration through the lens of South Africa.
